The Tree of Knowledge about Childhood Cancer

The Tree of Knowledge about Childhood Cancer Project was first launched in 2016 and continues in collaboration with the MAPFRE Foundation (Fundación MAPFRE). The project provides families with reliable information and aims to enhance the skills and abilities of the caregivers, increase their self-confidence, support the treatment of the children, strengthen the adaptation of the families to the treatment and prevent the possible psychosocial problems in children and their family.

The families fight cancer with more awareness and knowledge by using www.cocukkanseri.org as an open source to access all information about the course of the treatment.

The portal has educational materials about various topics such as the development process of childhood cancers, the stages of the treatment, the physical and emotional changes in children and coping methods for these changes, possible psychological reactions of children due to trauma, illness in childcare, nutrition, hygiene, and self-empowerment. These materials meet with users through educational videos, interviews, online seminars, and the online library for childhood cancer.
